About Louwman Facility & Estate

Louwman Facility & Estate is responsible for the development, construction, management and maintenance of a diverse real estate portfolio. The department owns around 50 locations and rents an additional 95 properties. These are used for offices, showrooms, workshops, (logistics) warehouses and retail outlets. A number of buildings are also leased to external market parties, including Stedin and Alphabet.

Louwman Facility & Estate is the recommended partner for new-build and renovation projects. From initiation to aftercare, the department oversees every aspect of a project. Client needs and budgets are always taken into account, as well as the corporate identity, laws and regulations, (fire) safety and sustainability.

The department is also responsible for the technical and operational management of the real estate portfolio. This includes both preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings and facilities.

The Louwman Facility & Estate Service Desk is available 24/7 and ensures accurate administrative follow-up of reports and requests. To achieve this, the department works closely with both internal and external partners.

In addition, Louwman Facility & Estate manages on-site facility services, including (fire) security, surveillance, catering, coffee services, cleaning and waste management.

Increasingly sustainable

Sustainability is achieved wherever possible by modifying buildings and installations architecturally and in terms of installations. Energy consumption is reduced by improving the insulation values of building skins, for example, or by using energy-efficient LED lighting. Several buildings now generate their own energy using solar panels, and Cool Roof technology has been applied to several properties, a seamless, waterproof and heat-reflective roof coating.

In addition, any newly developed or newly built real estate complies with the so-called sustainability classifications (BREEAM or GPR) to the extent possible. One of the most recent Louwman Facility & Estate developments, Louwman Rotterdam-Zuid, has received the BREEAM classification ‘Outstanding’, making it the most sustainable dealer location in the automotive sector in all of Europe. An achievement to be proud of!
